Hi Bluebell,
A warm welcome to Talking Scot.
We'll all be happy to help you out as much as possible, so please feel free to ask.
Can I assume that the unnamed Scotland female was the one born in 1892? If so, there is also a death entry for the same year, still no firstname, so possibly died very soon after birth.
Regards,

A warm welcome
Thank you both for a warm welcome. I am not at the moment stuck with the Scotland side, its the Livingstone part which is a bit more puzzling. My Gt Gran Mary Greenhorn nee Livingstone bornMar 16 1876 Blantyre I dont have parents names so I cant get back any further, I have looked through a lot of Livingstones, but not having dates etc, it could be anyone of them, could do with a pointer in the right direction for this one please.

With her birthdate her birth certificate should be relatively easy to find on Scotlands People. Failing that, have you tried looking for her death certificate? This allows you to search on both her maiden and married names, so should cut down the results.
Either one will (or should) give her parents names.

Hi Bluebell
Welcome to TalkingScot.
A quick trip to www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and the expenditure of a few credits will lead you very quickly to the 1876 birth in Blantyre for Mary LIVINGSTON*, showing the same parents as for her later marriage to William GREENHORN.
Mary's birth register entry shows the place and date of the marriage of her parents.
That marriage record then shows you the names of her grandparents, but watch out for the absence of the "E" in LIVINGSTON[E]
Beyond that, assuming that the events took place in Scotland, it's quite possible that death register entries will get you back another generation, maybe two, especially using the 1841 and 1851 censuses as well.
David

I'd be near certain that's the correct 1881 census entry !!
In my first post, I should also have mentioned www.familysearch.org , from which the following I can promise is very relevant !!..........
Father: Dugald Livingston, Mother: Janet Menzies
International Genealogical Index / British Isles
JANET LIVINGSTON - International Genealogical Index
Birth: 24 SEP 1841
Christening: 03 OCT 1841 Inveraray And Glenaray, Argyll, Scotland
ANN LIVINGSTON - International Genealogical Index
Birth: 13 MAY 1843
Christening: 21 MAY 1843 Inveraray And Glenaray, Argyll, Scotland
JOHN LIVINGSTON - International Genealogical Index
Birth: 09 MAY 1845
Christening: 14 MAY 1845 Inveraray And Glenaray, Argyll, Scotland
WILLIAM MENZIES LIVINGSTON - International Genealogical Index
Birth: 15 OCT 1847 Barony, Lanark, Scotland
ROBERT MCGIBBON LIVINGSTONE - International Genealogical Index
Birth: 25 FEB 1850 Eastwood, Renfrew, Scotland
MARY LIVINGSTONE - International Genealogical Index
Birth: 05 DEC 1852
Christening: 17 DEC 1852 Mearns, Renfrew, Scotland
HELEN MENZIES LIVINGSTON - International Genealogical Index
Birth: 31 AUG 1855 Mearns, Renfrew, Scotland
And you've HIT THE JACKPOT in terms of an 1855 record
since an 1855 record, but only that year, has a lot more info !!, - the ages and places of birth of the parents, as well as the date and place of marriage, although the latter may also be found on www.familysearch.org .............. which it is, but spelling MENGIES, but a patron submitted entry, but that means that someone else is researching the same line
