A look-up please?

Post by ninatoo » Wed Mar 28, 2007 12:26 am

Hi all,

If anyone is going to Park Circus etc I would appreciate a look-up for the birth details of my grandfather Camillo Francisco Granelli, reported to be born about 1917 in Glasgow. Parents were Camillo Granelli and Margaret McCulloch Carson. I always thought I knew the year of his birth, but recently have been discussing some photos of him on Rootschat, and I have realised that he may in fact have been older than I thought.

(any chance of looking for his death too...about 1980 in Glasgow I believe? I know, a BIG request!)

If any kind person is able to spare the time I would appreciate it so much.

One note: there WAS a younger brother Francesco born 1909, died 1910. This child died in the Gorbals district. In 1920 the father died in the Hillhead district....just to give you some idea of some areas to search, although the surname Granelli was not common in Glasgow.

Thanks for reading!

Hi Nina,
I'm going up to Park Circus on 18th April.
If that's not too late, i'll look for Camillo's BC & DC then.
Just hope they've got his surname indexed correctly!
Cheers - Jack

Hi Jack,

I'm afraid I had to cancel my visit yesterday :x for 2nd April - just in case it's still available and you can go then.

Kind regards,

Hi Nina

I was at NRH this evening & took a look for Camillo's birth & death - & found them VERY easily. I'll PM you with the details.

Oh THANK YOU Muriel...I have already sent you a PM to thank you too, but wanted to do it on the boards. Thanks again to Jack for the offer...and to Nelmit for letting Jack know there might be a space at Park Circus. That was very thoughtful Annette!

Thanks again,

Nina

PS the family who passed on those dates to me were absolutely correct....grandfather just had a mature face! :D
