I have 3 pictures of my great grandparent's house which I would like to post in a reply to a previous post. Do I need to create an album on the gallery site if I want to keep the pictures together? Also, I may have other pictures to post later on. Would having an album make this easier?

Hi Carol,
An album of your own in the Gallery will keep them together for you. Most entries into the Gallery are for deciphering of documents that are difficult to read. They are mostly in a public section of the Gallery for that purpose. The oldest images are cleared out of there periodically long after they have been deciphered. The personal albums would not normally be cleared of older images.
So it depends if you see these as images you would want to keep in the Gallery for the long term or if you are happy for them to be deleted (after quite a few months) when they are passed their "sell by" date.
All the best,
AndrewP

Thanks Andrew,
I tried the album route but couldn't make it work. Everytime I clicked on the create an album button, I got a blank window, but when I tried to type on the line below it I would get a message saying to choose an album first. How can you choose something that you are trying to create for the first time? Anyway, I just went ahead and up loaded one photo which it said was successful. I'll wait and see how that turns out.
