Hi
I recently updated to Legacy de luxe.
I have run a few descendents reports. A quick glance at them and they seemed to be ok. (I did not check the orders of the marriages. It didn't cross my mind to do so)
However today I ran one where the chap had been married twice. No matter what I try, the report has the marriages in the wrong order. i.e. wife no 2 (who is still alive!) is shown as the first wife and wife no 1 who died years previously is shown as wife no 2.
I know there must be a simple way of correcting this but try as I might I can't find it.
HELP!
Jean

Hi Jean,
If you click on Help on the menu select Search for Help On and enter "preferred" it comes with what I think might be what you are looking for.
Although I don't use it much, I do have it on my PC. I use FTM and this has an option when you add a subsequent spouse to have them set as preferred, so I had a look to see if the same term was used in Legacy help files.

I also use FTM but I find the sequence of spouses on reports is based on the date of marriage, not whether they are set as the "preferred" spouse. I have found where I have omitted a marriage date (because it was unknown) I have had reports in the wrong order, thus I add an "About" date to resolve the issue.
