Email from TS

Post by maple23 » Sun May 06, 2007 8:48 pm

I just received a 'test' email from TalkingScot, any reason why?

Hi Maple
No reason that I'm aware of. I suspect it may just have been a technical "blip". Quite a lot of mail is sent out to groups of new members from time to time - it may be that for some reason your email address was in one of these "groups", perhaps in error.

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi
I received one as well.

The address it was from was "talkings @ talkingscot.com" I have deliberately left a gap and put the inverted commas in so that it doesn't show as a link.

The "s" on the end of the first "talking" made me suspicious that it might be the result of someone getting hold of email addresses and trying to spam members.
Although checking back, just now, I see that my first communication back in Aug '06 did have that format.

Hi Everyone,

I can answer your question. I was sending a test e-mail to myself and it back fired. So sorry for the confusion.

Regards
Marilyn
