Hello everyone . I am looking into the life of an Alexander McIntosh who was born around 1874 and died in Dumbarton on the 20th of January 1952 aged 78 . Hi , I ran your words past some gaelic speaking friends and it was thought they were probably all niknames apart from Herat which is Harriet . Hope it helps a wee bit x

Someone else on Ancestory has put up a family tree that matches my search ~ they were emailed over a year ago but there has been no response ~ would love to hear from anyone researching any branch of this family ~ other families connected are Todd and Anderson . Thanks
