Calculating the years OR days.

Post by Alan SHARP » Thu Aug 23, 2012 11:05 pm

Greetings.

I've posted to the gallery, two aids I used in the early days of my family history research, for calculating dates of the past, when you are tired, and the mental maths is not as good, or easy as it should be. I found the circular calculator great, as I moved through the inscriptions at grave side. The photo copy of instructions, that I scanned, I see had WORDPERFECT typed instructions added, so was a later version of some 20 years ago.

Eg. Died 1922 aged 88 years says the inscription, but you want to know the year born.

If interested you can print them out.

These are straight calculators and not time line graphic systems.

Happy calculating.
