Hi Christopher

I regularly pass the Methlick Churchyard so if you want a photo of any gravestones at any point just let me know. It's on my work journey.

Hi Anne

Thank you for your kind offer to take some photos of the gravestones. I will be delighted only if you are happy to do it. I am not sure how many GRANTS are buried at the churchyard but I am in interested in stones 301, William / Mary Grant and 303, John and Isabelle Grant - in accordance with the Methlick MI booklet.

Am I correct that there was a "North Church" and a "South Church" in Methlick? I have been told that the "North Church" was non-comformist and was run by William Grant. If so was the churchyard used by both churches for burials?

Once again thank you.

Kind regards

Christopher

Dear Christopher

I don't know if you have tracked down the information you need but my Great grandfather was John Grant who married Isabella Morrison (1835-1916)

I have quite a lot of information including photogarphs of the above.

Let me know if you are still interested.

Hello Neil

What a pleasant surprise and thank you for getting in touch with me. My mother's partner Ted was the great grandson of John Grant (through his son William who married Mary Jane Berry, they had a daughter called Gladys Beryl Grant, Ted's mother). Ted will certainly be delighted to have the information and in particular the photographs as he knows very little about his ancestors.

I will be more than happy to exchange information if you wish.

Once again thank you.

Kind regards

Hello Neil and a belated welcome to Talking Scot!
It's best if you and Christopher do not post email addresses on the public forum. The private messaging system is good for that. Here is a link to explain that, if it isn't clear: viewtopic.php?f=60&t=6760

All the best,
Sarah
