I forgot to add that the full set, 27 or 28?, of the 1881 CDs for England, Wales and Scotland are still available at the ridiculously low price of US$10 (from memory the two Scottish CDS bought separately cost $10 when that was possible).

To buy the full set, -

Go to http://www.ldscatalog.com/webapp/wcs/st ... &langId=-1

Click on “Family History” in the column of choices on the left.

Click on “Software & Databases”

Click on “Censuses”

Select 1881 British Census CD

I think LDS have a fair way to go yet. I tried a few namesI already have on LDS census discs but they are not to be found here. One in particular must be unique. Patrick McEwan was wrongly transcribed as McQuoron on the LDS census discs but he also is missing here.

Looks like its back still listed as England and Wales but now seems to be minus the Scottish Census :(

That figures!

Either someone in Salt Lake City realised their error, or GROS Edinburgh were in contact with them to point out that permission had never been granted............
