I remember this well from the late fifties, but recollect something about it being essential to keep the largish scab intact until naturally healed, otherwise the goodness went out of the injection. The reason I recall it is that my arm became infected and swollen and I had to wear a cage on it to prevent it being hit.
Anyone else have that problem ?
