Hi Chris,

Many thanks for that, it's great news, but how do you "Bookmark" the page...I've never done that before! When I clicked on "Bookmarks" that's on the Google tool bar at the top of the screen, a pop-up came up asking me to "sign in to access your Google Bookmarks"...is that what's supposed to happen?

Hi Anne:

I'm not sure how to 'bookmark', but 'Favourites' (probably the same thing) is available on Internet Explorer's Toolbar across the top of the screen.

Go to the site you want to save for future reference:
* Click on 'Favourites'
* Click on 'Add to Favourites'
* A drop-down box will appear with the name of the site you are visiting
* Click on 'Add' and it will save it to a list of 'Favourites'. The link will be stored there so you won't have to go looking for it again.
* Next time you want to visit that page, just click on 'Favourites' on the Toolbar and you will see the site name and click on it.

You will see that there is also an option to create Folders. This will come in handy as you go along and add new favourites. You can lump all your genealogy sites in one folder, all your book sites in another, your craft sites in another, etc.

Many thanks for your reply. I'm actually familiar with "Favourites" and use it often, but I wasn't sure if "Bookmarks" was something different. I'll put it My Favourites

This time I am printing everything I want right now. Last time I saved things to my docuements folder and then couldn't print some of them.

Hope this last a while. Have to go to the optometrist right now to get my eyes checked!

"Favourites" are Microsoft's version of "Bookmarks".
Once upon a time, in the days when Netscape Navigator was the BIG browser (1995/6) and Internet Explorer was hardly used by anyone as it was newish and not anywhere near as good or reliable, Netscape Navigator had a great feature called "bookmarks". IE had nothing like this at that time, but of course with the next verison of IE they had copied this great feature and called it "Favourites".... and then slowly but surely IE and Microsoft took over the world, and Netscape Navigator is a part of internet history now....

(I still think of the things as "Bookmarks")

"Bookmarks" are still alive and well in the Mac world, on the Safari browser

Bookmarking didn't work for me with this link. When I tried to get back in by clicking on my bookmark, the site said my instant trial had ended! I went back to the original link in Chris's post, clicked on it and was invited to sign in which I did and got back in to the site.

We'll see what happens when I try to get in again later this evening!
