LOST COUSINS

Post by sheilajim » Sat Jan 26, 2008 11:04 pm

Hi All

LOST COUSINS newsletter for January announces that they are starting a NEIGHBOURS Feature. They are also announcing a ONE-PLACE STUDY Feature, which is an in-depth study of a village or community that often involves transcribing parish register, census entries and other records.
Basic membership is FREE and a 12 month subscription is 10 Pounds.

That is what they have announced. I was excited when I received this e-mail, but when I went to their website, I couldn't find these new features. :(

Does anyone else here know anything more about this site?

Regards
Sheila

I got that email to.
I did enter some information on it when it first appeared but the site doesnt give you a buzz like Genes or SP can/does and so from that i never bothered to spend more time than i needed to with the free "all access" membership they had a little while ago as it just seemed the same as the basic membership - like you i didnt find it any different.
Life's to short to spend on Lost Cousins site !

Hi Tracy

I think that Lost Cousins has the potential to be a better site that Genes Reunited, when, and if, they ever go beyond the 1881 Census. I just wonder why I can't find the new features. :?

I don't compare them to Scotland's People, which is in a category all of its own.
:)
