Ancestry's improved the wildcard!

Post by JustJean » Wed Jan 06, 2010 3:41 pm

Yippee... =D> ..just now discovered that the big A has finally finally improved their wildcard search. Before you could never have a wildcard as a leading character (which in my opinion rated them pretty far down the list of nice people) BUT now you can!! :D There are a couple of rules though....if you lead with a wildcard you can't end with one and the name still has to include at least 3 letters that you do know. Still a marked improvement. Now just have to retrain the gray matter :? as it took me quite a while to acclimate myself to the old way of doing things.....

Best wishes
Jean
