Thought I would point out this article & new website I came across which provides access to a database of 6,000 documents from Scotland between 1093 and 1286.
It gives information on every person mentioned in documents, who they were, and info on how they related to each other as individuals
- although I wonder how how many of us might be in a position to trace our tree back that far!

Thanks for that find Robert. It would be easy to start into it and never surface again. some fascinating stuff before you even get to the Scottish records database. The home page reaches some interesting conclusions about the emergence of the Scottish nation. It puts the lie to some of the earlier history books
