The latest Genes Re-united newsletter says "Look up your 1901 census.
Find where your relatives were living.
Fat lot of use if your relatives were Scots who had not crossed the great watery divide that seems (from another post) tp separate us from our Southern cousins.
No mention that only the English census can be accessed.
I grind my teeth in frustration every time I come across this type of parochial attitude.
I thought that some of the news reports had innured me to this attitude but when you pay to join a site then are made to feel excluded it catches me where it hurts most Scots....my wallet!!
I would approach the Advertising Standards but they are probably based in London and would not understand what I was talking about ... even if they could understand my foreign accent in the first place
Grrrh
Lets all learn Gaelic and then they will have to give us bi-lingual signs like the Welsh. (We could insult them without them knowing it
Rant over
Still don't feel better though
