Hi,
From some information I have an address as Cowcaddens, on the road leading from Port Dundee, a street off it.
Would Cowcaddens mean anything?
The date of the information is 1860.
Hope this is the right place for this query.
Kind regards,
Pat Bostock.

Cowcaddens is an area in Glasgow alongside Port Dundas. I haven't heard of a Port Dundee but maybe somebody else has.
If you zoom in on the VI 6 25 area of this map you will find Port Dundas Road.
Hope this helps,

Hi,
Thank you so much for the map & also the suggestion that I should look at Port Dundas. No wonder I couldn't find anything - I was looking in the wrong place.
With the information provided, and in hindsight with the help of my trusty magnifying glass, it is Port Dundas.
Thank you so much for your help, I am most grateful - so that means that this family were still in Glasgow, Barony, & not in Dundee.
Kind regards,
Pat Bostock.
