Hi!

Not sure how long this offer last for, think it's 3 days but if you go onto
http://share.ancestry.com/ you'll get free access. Just the ticket what with the new census info on there.

Best wishes & happy hunting

Thanks Donna. It's great to have this free index..just wish I could find some I haven't already found on SP. I'll keep trying.

Thanks Donna

For my "side lines" I usually only have 1841 from Freecen and some 1851 from my discs and of course the 1881 from the discs. Now I have the whole lot in 1851 and 1861!!!

Some of the spellings are a bit iffy but on the whole the info is pretty accurate.

Thanks a bunch :D

=D> =D> =D> I have just made a mega breakthrough this AM.I have been searching this line for almost all my adult life & in the last two weeks have almost demolished the wall.
Today I finally managed to find my Kerr GGGrandmother & my GGGGrandfather all together with siblings, all born Ireland(no place name)& the youngest Hugh 6& born Ireland so I now know when they came to Scotland & verified the 1861 Census entry as them. Also that it is likely that their Mother Margaret Kerr nee G/Clancy is deceased by then.
Hugh sen.manages to lose 15 years & a new wife & son between 1851& 1861.His children are all still together & living nearby. [woohoo]

That's excellent news for all of you and happy to be of help.

I'm getting RSI with the amount of looking up I'm doing but it'll be worth it.

Have fun

I too have made a breakthrough of sorts. Still feeling my way through it, however it's the largest step forward I've made in three years. Very excited!

That's great Joette and Scooter!

Am cross-eyed myself from searching and have absolutely no-one yet. Aw well, keeps me off the streets I suppose!
