Found this site and found it rather interesting. You can get close to certain areas. No street names though :(

These are wonderful maps that are exceptionally detailed, including names of the streets. I bought six of them for different areas and I especially like the one for Coatbridge since that one has a business directory on the back of it...even shows my great granduncle John Flaherty advertising his "Boot and Shoemaker" shop in Langloan. Poor man went from having his own little shoemakers shop then died a pauper in Old Monkland Poorhouse.

Anne,

Yup they are brilliant. I have about 3 of the Godfrey maps for the Falkirk area. I have always loved looking at old maps of places and seeing how much they have changed.

The other great thing is being part of the Uni I have access to the Roy Military Map of Scotland and it is also quite good. It doesnt quite show town plans but shows their basic outline.
