I am after info from two books on the Kintyre in Argllshire -
1. I understand that there is a book called - "List of Inhabitants upon the Duke of Argyle's Property in Kintyre in 1792" Edited by A. I. B. Stewart
Published by Scottish Records Society, 1991, ISBN 0 902054 12 0
Does anyone have access to this book to find out if Peter McConnachy or other McConnachy family members are mentioned?
2. There is another book called - "Kintyre -The Hidden Past" by Angus Martin, ISBN 085976 119 3.
Does anyone have access to this book to find out if Peter McConnachy or other McConnachy family members are mentioned?
I would really appreciate if anyone has any access to these books to let me know if the McConnachy family is mentioned and how I can access the information myself?
Thanks
McConnachy

Hi,
Since you're in Australia, it would be fastest to get interlibrary loan from another Australian library. Check out the online catalogues, or ask your local reference librarian to do so. For instance, I see that Kintyre -The Hidden Past is to be found in the library of the University of Sydney:
http://opac.library.usyd.edu.au/#
Search for keyword: Kintyre and up it comes. Just work your way through the various universities and you may find the other one. Or ask your local librarian to do so for you!
Regards,
Sarah
