Records of immigrants to Australia

Post by wini » Sat Mar 10, 2007 7:37 am

I saw this in todays paper.

www.ancestorsonboard.com
The records of all long haul ships leaving Britain and Ireland for Australia have been transferred from paper documents at the U.K. National Archives and put on the above website.
I haven't looked yet so I am not sure if Britain includes Scotland

The site also has passenger lists for vessels leaving U.K and Ireland between 1890 and 1909, with full lists reaching up to 1960 in the next 6 months

Hi Wini

The site should include Scotland as it is part of Britain ...
