Have GenesReunited upgraded their database?

Post by emanday » Thu Jul 12, 2007 1:51 pm

I've just gone through two pages of new hot matches and only three were definitely NOT mine.

Of the rest - well the mind boggles. I've been sitting here whizzing off messages to members with some potential, and many probably definite matching rellies.

I might even find out who the mother was of one of my wee mysteries!

I'm holding a [woohoo] in check, but - WOW!

I got mine this morning too but most of them were the ones I've had umpteen times before & there was not a single potential among them! So I guess you were lucky.

What a pity. Although my contact has the same family I'm afraid she has no idea on a mother's name either, but at least we do share rellies.

Ah! Well! Maybe one day

Got mine today but I had already been in at the weekend and checked and made no less than 3 new contacts although there were a few I wondered about as some came along with names not in my tree!
I even thing one of my own uncles has some tee on there so gave him a nudge but no reply yet. Probably on his hols.

My thoughts as well - Smith, Grant, Kelly, repeating John, James, Joseph, Mary, Ann - thank heaven for the Lipsetts :!: ... well, at least while they're still in Glasgow!!

Bit of an update :D

I've been absolutely delighted with what has come of this batch of Hot Matches.

My new contacts and I have gained a lot of new knowledge from each other. We've found, variously, new siblings of folk, second spouses we didn't know about, what happened to others who appeared to have dropped off the planet, living cousins of varying degrees, and these are just examples!

It will take me weeks to confirm and collate all the new stuff.

Have to say, this batch alone was worth my subscription [woohoo]
