Hi dears
As you all know an hour is not very long to do a presentation on anything so I'd really like to know what topic would be most appreciated by the majority of the potential audience.
Having applied what passes for my mind to it, I've come up with 4 options and invite yiz all to vote for what you would prefer:
The options are:
1. A brief history and structure of Scots Law/Legal System
2. Marriage Law (Has this been done to death??)
3. Wills and inheritance
4. Land holding and property documents
For any of the above it could only be an overview but I'd hope to give the basics to help understanding etc.
Please, please, please vote for your choice. Unfortunately our system is a bit unsophisticated and does not allow for anything other than first past the post so if anyone wants to indicate a second choice please post a message.
Hope all the home based Scots are enjoying our first decent weekend in what feels like months. Summer has at last i-cum in, loud sing Cuckoo!! O! Sorry that's English is it not?? Or alternatively see the Wicker
Man, the original and best!
Anne
PS I promise not to vote, not even once!!

Hi Lesley
I guess history and system would be a bit about how the law in Scotland developed, where it came from, how it is made and how adjudicated upon.
Anne
BTW I'm happy to go with whatever the majority wants and have promised and mean not to fix the outcome by voting myself!! I have a preference between the 2 favourites but what matters is what the audience wants.

Hi
I'm really only posting a reply to bring this topic back up to the top in case anyone interested misses the chance to vote. I'm really pleased that so many people have voted. It augurs well for the success of the TS Autumn event.

I have tagged your post as sticky which keeps it in the top section of the General Discussion forum. Occasional replies like yours above will bring it back to the attention of those who use the view posts since last visit method when visiting TalkingScot.
All the best,
