Next, Scottish landmarks;
Where in Scotland would you see the ‘Grey Man’?
Ben Mcdui

Scottish occupations up next;
What was a ‘Leerie’ or Leery’?
Lamplighter

A BDM question just to keep you on your toes;
What was ‘Marasmus’?
aka Infantile Atrophy: Infantile wasting disease leading to death through inability to absorb nutrition

For those who’re maybe having a wee bit difficulty;
In what Scottish Loch may you expect to find ‘The Loch Ness Monster’?
Loch Ness, possibly :roll:

Scottish history;
The Battle of Culloden involved –
d. Other (controversial that answer :!: )
as in Scots vs Scots & English

A wee sneaky one about the Scottish Legal System;
Which of the following does the Scottish ‘Procurator Fiscal’ NOT do?
a. Carry out civil marriages in Scotland.

On Scottish traditions;
When would you expect to receive a ‘Christening Piece’?
Sandwich, sometimes of biscuits, containing a coin given to first man parents meet after birth of daughter, or first woman if son.

On old money;
What would you have in your hand (in current money) if;
You handed over a ‘ten bob note’ for a purchase costing ‘hauf a croon’, spent a further ‘tanner’ oan a sweetie then loast a ‘shullin’ an four ‘thrupny bits’ through a hole in yer poackit?
5 bob

And finally, Sport;
Who one the Scottish Cup in 1947?
Aiberdeen

Bob.

If he asks the Q in proper money, he's getting the answer in proper money :roll:

A Ten Bob note indeed, - I used to regard myself as unlucky if I couldn't come out of John Smith, of former great renown, with a shullin or twa's change and 4 paperbacks. :!: :)

And I missed out the "Who is this about?"

Had a quick chat with Wullie and he's nae sure......... says you can't be seriously meaning the pub in Kirkland Street in Maybole........ or S R Crockett's book on the feuding Kennedys and Sawney Bean ....... and the Grey Man of the Merrick isnae in Ayrshire.... and he cannae believe ye wid be referring tae Sholto-Dhu-Glas ............

I thought that one was so obvious and recent ............

But seeing as how you're asking :roll: ........ Hobbits delighted in such things, if they were accurate: they liked to have books filled with things that they already knew, set out fair and square with no contradictions ............
