hi i just found out yesterday that my gt uncle on my fathers side lived and died in dunoon, i have been looking for him for a long time hoping that the kelly name would live on but sadly he was a single man who was a boatsman and died 1970 age 41 he stayed at 23 cowal place dunoon as none of the family came from dunoon we were from glasgow , ireland and ayr. john kelly's mum came from ayr wondered why he ended living in dunoon. made a mistake john kelly was 49yrs old when he was found dead he suffererd a ceribal hemorage.if he was a boatsman where would he have been working from in dunoon. :?: regards catherine kelly.

Hi Cathy

There are a lot of possibilities for a boatsman in Dunoon. Could he have worked on one of the ferries? If you put an advert in the local paper someone might remember him if in fact he died in 1970 and not 1870.
