hi everyone,
well i see you have all been busy while i was sitting waiting for a reply, how on earth my notification ended up in my spam folder i dont know
anyway i will have to go thro these post to try and catch up eh? in the meantime the only info i have on chas & john are that they were married in 1770 however this turned out to be an irregular marriage and was entered into the parish register in june of 1770 so how much earlier than that i dont know, anyway seems christian remained a drummond by surname but all her siblings were dewars , the last being born around 1791. i am going to try to look into rusells theory about the grave containing a child?
anyway i am so pleased with all this response and hope we can get to the bottom of this wee scottish mystery.
lainey is there any more info that i can find which may help?

Hi Krissy
I dont think I am really the person to ask! Complete amatuer! As i said the only thing I can think is the opr's which I will try to get to the Library at some point and have a wee look. Personally I wouldnt really hold out much more hope. Maybe if I can have a look, whatever we find you could ask about again and see if Lesley or the others have any further ideas? Would be worth a try!
Will get back to you as soon as I find anything - whether good news or bad, but I dont think I will be there this week.......
Cheers
Lainey

hi lainey,leslie and russell,
to you leslie so sorry i havent managed to get a photo of the grave really wish i had and russell i think your comments about erecting a stone seem really sensible so yes maybe there is a child there, i know im repeating myself now but im so blown away with laineywoo,s plan to go down there and sort this out , do you need any disguise or anything in case they spot you ? or you could say you are there surveying the place for " most haunted" hee hee
anyway whatever the outcome im really grateful for all your help
keep it coming gang

Hi Krissy
I was talking to anyone who was interested!
I think Lainey menitoned earlier she was going to look at the OPRs - so it does seem there are some deaths mentioned. You could order the films from your local LDS family history centre for a small fee - that is, if you are nowhere near Edinburgh or The Reference Library in Central Library, Stirling.
Best wishes

Hi Ladies
I was thinking of going into Falkirk and I am pretty sure they will be held in the Library there, so it should be free. Although Airth is probably closer to Stirling than Falkirk, is still goes under Falkirk District. Krissy dont go paying for it just now, you've waited this long!! lol If I have no luck then paying may be the only way to go
