Does anyone know if there is a map or index to where individual lairs/plots are located ?
Have got the details of the lairs/plots but havent a clue to start looking for them!

Re: Glasgow Lambhill/Craigton Cemeteries
A wee hint for David.....
Have a look on CWGC site and use the pulldown menu (Casualty/Cemeteries). Type in Glasgow and all the Glasgow Cemeteries will appear over 2 pages.
Click on either Craigton or Lambhill. You'll then get an A-Z of all the CWGC burials within each place so try to find one in the same section near(ish) to where the grave you are looking for is. CWGW standard stones are usually much easier to find as they're 'maintained'. You'll see that some of the references in the A-Z's vary quite a bit, but they all mean the same thing, i.e. R.9999 is the same as Section (or Compartment) R, Lair/Grave 9999.
This sounds like a long way for a shorcut, but if you haven't a clue of the grave's exact location, at least it's a general indication.
I don't know about Craigton, but Lambhill has an office next to the Crematorium (which is beside the gates into the Western Necropolis) and if you manage to get along during the week, there's usually staff around who if not too busy, will show you or take you to where you're looking for.
Anne.
P.S. I've sent you a PM

You can arrange a date with somebody at Craigton who will take you to the lair.David Lang wrote:Does anyone know if there is a map or index to where individual lairs/plots are located ?
