hi lesley
the family came from midlothian that could be andrews parents as there was a daughter called jane morgan and she married a morrison,it gets confusing as the first names are the same james son was andrew bennet and i think he had ason by the same name its just that on andrews death cert his mothers name is spelt with a c not a k,and was living in leith bonnington when he died,so he probly moved around abit,thank you anyway for your help,joyce :)

I wouldn't worry too much about a name being spelt differently. You need to keep an open mind on spelling! :D I have several Katherines in my tree who turn up as Catherines just as often, or C/Katharine. Spelling of names can be variable - heck, still is!
