I have a couple of SP accounts.

One where I have no credits lets me search but the other where I have credits keeps logging me out!! Anybody else having problems?

Regards,
Annette

Excellent Meg!

Wish I could find some but I wasn't too hopeful anyway. :(

Annette

Hi Meg,

It appears to say
James Dobie, Newton (of the Veterans) 65 L C Y
Hope this means something to you.
Have been looking at Aberdeenshire OPRs and they tell you how deep the body is buried  but nothing much that would identify them as mine.

Oh dear Late again
Paula
Searching for Barclay Aberdeenshire, Stewart Edinburgh, Brown Edinburgh & Uphall, Finlayson E Lothian, Fairley & Renton E & W Lothian for starters!

It's slowed down quite a bit, but no problems. Sorry it's not behaving for you :( At least you're saving money, unlike the rest of us!

Sarah
I've found potentials in Aberdeen on a search of the account with no credits so it's even more frustrating that I can't have a look, unless I top it up but don't want to when I have credits elsewhere! :x

Hi Carol,
speleobat2 wrote:Four of the entries I'm interested in come from Aberdeen/Aberdeen City, but give Aberdeen as the parish.

Is there any way to find out which parish in Aberdeen City they were buried in?
I've been looking in Aberdeen also. There appear to be only films for Old Machar and then "Aberdeen". I clicked on the free header for an Aberdeen one I had downloaded and it just says County Aberdeen, Parish Aberdeen. Don't see any St Nicholas, for example, although they may just not have turned up in my searches.

However, when you choose "Aberdeen City" from the drop-down menu, the only choices are:
Aberdeen
North Church Aberdeen
New Machar
Old Machar

All the best,
Sarah

There will be a lot of people owing a debt to the Minister or clerk who recorded the deaths for that parish so neatly!

Thanks Sarah,

So far all of my hits have come up in "Aberdeen" parish.

My relatives are just determined to stay anonymous! Especially "Mrs. Clerihew"!

Carol
Looking for: Clerihew, Longmuir/Longmore, Chalmers, Milne, Barclay in Newhills,
Munro, Cadenhead, Raitt, Ririe/Reary

My eternal brick wall is a Mary Isabel who died in the Aberdeen area abt 1819. As always, no way to search just by first name, so the brick wall stays up  I do wish they would make it possible, since the first names are obviously indexed... I suppose the problem is the sheer volume of Margarets and Jameses that would come up if searched

Sarah

I kept getting logged out also for a while, Annette...not that it matters much. I'm having absolutely no luck with any of mine, so far! There doesn't seem to be anything for Larbert or Old Monkland at all and those in Linlithgow aren't giving me any clues for any of my Brown or Millar families  Lots more to try, so I might eventually get lucky!
