OPR's .....

Post by maggie » Thu Jun 16, 2005 8:04 pm

Hello
can anyone please tell me if the gros data number relates to the same persons if the number is the same even if there is a variation in the spelling of the surname???
i have come accross this one in my research
Parents names Walter Wardrop/Janet Corse 622/00
0001

Walter Wardrop/janet Crose 622/00
0001
2 entries with Walter Wardrop/Janet Carse 622/00
0001

and then two entries with the name of Janet Cross where the gros data is 622/00
0002
on the IGI it seems to list all the children as being from the same parents but the spelling is for CROSS.is there a "rule to follow with Gros Data ??regards maggie

Hi Maggie,
yes. I have several certificates, where you would not believe the spellings on some. When you pay your credits for one, the others with the same number came up as paid,
