Are these two records the same?

Looking for Richard Wood born about 1795 in Kelso, I found two entries on ScotPeople which seem to be the same but different.
Date of birth(11 06 1794) is the same on both
Person born : Richard Wood is the same
Father: Richard Wood (also the same)
Mother : Mary Burnlees on one; Mary Burnlie on other
But there are different Frame references and different GROS data

Can anyone give me any clues - doI need both?

Hi Mo-anne,

I've had a peek at both of these records. They have the same words apart from the change of spelling of the mother's name, and the birth date. It looks like he was born on 21st Jan, but on what I assume to be the second copy, it could easily be mistaken for 31st Jan (both say baptized 11th June).

The easier to read one is 793/ 0040 0186 (frame 1097).

It looks like some pages have been copied. The entry above Richard's appears on both pages (others would be over the page).

Thanks - it's not that I'm mean but I like to avoid unnecessary purchases if possible - I 'll get the one that's easiest to read!
