Hi Sandra
The image seems very small at only 391KB, so not easy to zoom in for clarification. Is this the original image you downloaded form SP, or have you resized it?

best wishes

James Sharp and Mary Struthers both in this parish after banns? duly proclaimed__________________ were married 24th Novr. 1826

Sorry, can't read the bit in the middle, as the image is very fuzzy. Do you have a better quality image?

best wishes
Lesley

As Lesley said, with a little more:

"..............were duly proclaimed (here?) in order to mar-
riage, were married..................."

That's what I see, and such language seems to be typical of marriage records I have seen.

Hi Sandra and Lesley:

This link will take you to the original file from ScotlandsPeople. It is a very poor quality image.
