Greetings again from New Zealand.
I’ve just received an email from a name sake distant cousin, very interested in adding this couple [assuming there is just one Elizabeth] to his family tree. My research stalled many moons ago, because I could just not find enough conclusive supporting evidence. There were a few elusive William SHARP’S around about that time, as I have over 800 Sharp entries in my Glasgow environs OPR data base, not all of whom are accounted for.
If you are researching descendants from this couple [?] I would love the opportunity to share notes about your discoveries. Perhaps you have stumbled upon something that will contribute to our research, and be conclusive either way. Gone Van Demins Land or NZ, in a Bible would possibly be too much to ask for, but you never know until you ask.
The next generation emigrated into pioneering lands, where there was little or no establishment and the paper trail got quite thin, until the introduction of civil registrations in the 1850’s.
