Marriages in Forfarshire

I'm not finding any marriage records for a family I am researching - have checked the list of OPRs at NRS & for the parishes of interest Brechin & Stracathro - it says there are registers for the right time periods - 1700 -1855

1. John Mathers & Ann Thompson had children that I have found c. 1823 - c. 1833. First child was baptised in Stracathro where Ann was born. Others are in Kincardinshire. John was born in Brechin 1797. I cannot find a marriage in Forfarshire or Kincardinshire

2. Parents of John Mathers are David Mathers and Jean Duncan (from baptism & death certificate). They had children baptised in Brechin 1794 to 1804

3. The parents of David Mathers may be James Mathers and Jean Shepherd

and I have found this marriage
