I suppose when they started the indexing process a few years ago, they had no idea about the the way personal computers would invade our world, and turn it into a postage stamp
In the last few years it as amazing the increase in speed of computers and internet connections compared to only 5 years ago.
Compare the size of home and office PC's now.
I recall when working in communications in the early 70 the headquarters where I worked had the biggest and fastest mainframe computer in the souther hemisphere, much smaller than Washington, Whitehall and Moscow mind you, but it filled a huge room in a sub-basement. I realise mainframes are different to what we use. Back then I would have looked at someone like they needed help

, if they told me I would have instant communications anywhere in the world from my lounge room.
So back to what I was trying to say, was that they probably had no idea of the difference home computers would make to the world today, and the type of access it gives people globally.
