Parish Register enquiry .....

Hello everyone,
While searching through the entries on the LIBINDX Site [great site ]
I noticed that some of my relatives also had a reference number next to the Parish Register :
Parish Register: MF C Rh1 (C589) ..... is one example.
Are these any further use to our searching, what do they indicate
and why do some entries have them and some don't?

Can you give us full details of a specific example so that we can understand and look at the full context on LIBINDX (assuming that you don't have to be a subscriber to gain access).

The reference number is for Moray Heritage only it won't help with your research. Davie this is a free online site for anyone who has ancestors in Moray.

Hello Carole

Why don't you send them an e mail and ask if there is any relevance to the reference numbers.

One of mine I found on this web site had the reference MF A in 2 in the miscellaneous section. I contacted Graeme Wilson at Libindx and he informed me that this meant that althugh she was born in Cromdale, she was baptised in the Roman Catholic Church at Tombae. Another little piece of information that I would never had known had I not contacted them.
