Campbeltown Death Records

Post by David Lang » Thu Jun 14, 2007 8:44 pm

Hi

I am looking for death records prior to 1855 for Campbeltown and Southend parishes.

I read somewhere (cant remember ) that there is a microfiche with these on it, is this true or have i started imagining things !!!

Microfilms available to view at NRH, Scottish Genealogy Society, probably/possibly a library somewhere in Argyll (sorry, dunno where!) and also microfilms can be ordered to view at your local LDS centre for a small fee.

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi David,

According to the following webpage, the Mitchell Library holds the OPRs for Argyll, which would include Campbeltown.

All the best,
