Looking for marriage of James Veitch to Margaret Henry in Jedburgh? about1800-16. Also Robert Balmer to Jean Robson in Jedburgh?about 1810-27

I have Veitchs in my tree but not that far back is a Christina Veitch b1830 in Peebles.

Hi Dennis Yes there seems to be a few Veitch families in Peebles and Jedburgh .Mine moved to Melrose and Galashiels

My Veitchs came primarily from the marriage of James Veitch ( illegitimate son of Christina Veitch ) and Sarah Barker in 1856 ( 11 children )

My James Veitch was born in Jedburgh about 1816 Father James Veitch mother Margaret Henry

I didn't know about the Veitchs til I saw that an ancestor, Henry Deas Lennox, married Sarah Barker Veitch in 1905
