Thanks Andy,

That’s quite a change for the 1760 – 1854 lot. It’s about nine months earlier than originally scheduled.

If your computer happily opens a LizardTech DjVU file it might appear at first as if it can't be resaved in another format. But it can, - in the File dropdown menu there's an option "Export to File" which allows the image to be resaved as a BMP image file, after which most image viewing software will allow a further save as a TIFF or JPG file. BMP files tend to be big to massive and therefore not recommended for passing on by email !

I agree, its quite a shift. Which will hopefully benefit a lot of us. :)

Hot off the press, quite literally as they weren't there this morning and now they are.

We've just added almost 100,000 new Chelsea Pensioners British Army Service Records for 1855-1872 to findmypast.co.uk. You can now search 96,434 records and 437,825 images for this period.

This new batch of records brings the total amount of Chelsea Pensioners records and images on findmypast.co.uk to 506,870 records and 3,196,935 images.

Hi All

Does anyone have a problem with the info supplied bu FMP.

I paid to search for a particular person.
Entered the search string including county and year of birth +/- 10 years. I got 2 hits when looking at the hits I dicovered that the dates on these hits are.
approx a hundred years out and the parish and counties are nowhere near what I entered.
Does anyone have any sugestions please
Yours Aye

Hi Bruce,

Sorry for the late reply, but I haven't had any issues with the FMP search on the people I have been looking for.
