Hi folks

Although I agree it's good that they were perhaps left to get on with life I think they could have at least left some details about my gt gt grandfather for me. The only clue they left me was on my gt grandfather's marriage certificate where his name is given as William Fraser.
Reading the kirk sessions that were available for other parishes proved a superb read, and if ever the NA bring out book I will be buying it.
Wasn't a wasted trip by any means though as I got to spend 2 days in the SGS library, it was the first time I had visited it and the folks therefore amazingly helpful. I could have spent a month there and still wanted more time.

Joette I am waiting for the south Ken LDS to reopen. I haven't got any where else near me really and as I work in London South Ken is really my only option. Looking forward to comparing our Fraser women, I have to confess they really do appeal to me more than my other respectable church going ancestors.

I think that it all depended on the session clerk.

I had the experience a few years ago of tracking one couple though a number of session meetings, - she wouldn't tell them who the father was, - and he wouldn't admit to paternity, which was the strong rumour.

Then the session clerk changed and the minutes were the magnificently short "This day the Seƒƒion met" ](*,)
