National Archives The answer

Post by ASGROOMBRIDGE » Mon Jan 30, 2006 5:43 pm

It is a case brought forward by Mrs Sarah Robertson McCulloch or Perrie
against James McEwan Perrie.

Sarah resided at John Street, Larkhall and James resided at Corselet
farm, Quarter, Lanarkshire. They are fighting over nos. 9, 11, and 13
John Street, Larkhall.

So it was all about property, some things never change. Sad thing is it was a mother and son fighting against each other. :(

Proves you should assume nothing. We all thought it would be husband and wife. Was it a declarator of ownership?

Hi, Sarah Perrie is my great great grandmother. When her husband died he left everything to her, rather than the children. Sarah wasn't the nicest of people. She held all the sons bankbooks, and when they were away in the war she emptied them, and gave everything to her favourite son. The will, apparently was watertight. If i can let you know anything else, please let me know. My maiden name is Perrie, my Grandfather was Sarahs grandson, James Perrie. The Perrie's also owned the bus company in larkhall at one point.
