Hi Andy
Can't think of any at the moment.
The lack of some suitable box may not show up until some of us have tried them out.
My cheerful novices will most definitely start with photocopied specimens first.
I will do a belt and braces by keeping the record on the hard drive plus putting a paper copy into the folder. Which means I will probably need another couple of folders (Large lever arch files) to contain all the extra pages. Not a complaint I may add.
Thanks for your work on this. Some of the other versions available don't quite fit in with the Scottish record system.

Yeh it is an idea but if it is in excel then it can be easily deleted. I may just add the name to the sheet later. I have however added it to the author section of the whole spreadsheet (File-Preferences?).
Thanks,
Andy
Thanks,
Andy

Just a thought.
How about a credit to the creator somewhere on these excellent sheets - small font in a corner- since I suspect that they will be of use to guests as well as members (I'll need to log off and check that a guest can access them and download them).

Point taken, but can't you make the Excel spreadsheets at least read-only, or even password protect them in terms of alterations?, - i.e. possible to download and print, but not alter ??.......... NB I'm no top expert in Excel spreadsheet protection options, but I do know that there's a whole, separate drop-down menuPandabean wrote:Yeh it is an idea but if it is in excel then it can be easily deleted. It's just that I feel quite strongly that you should have continuing credit for the considerable effort required, and that in the context, as someone commented above, that there are few if any other such sheets specifically designed for the Scottish situation.
David
PS Later - As I believed would be the case, a "guest" on TS can access your spreadsheets. I've no problem at all with that, but would suggest that's even more reason for you to receive credit amongst not only the approaching 1,800 registered TS members, but also the 4x or 5x, or whatever, guests who regularly access TS ..............

Thanks David,
I will see what I can do this evening when I get home. I may be able to do something.

I have edited so that only certain fields are writtable and also added my name onto it. I am not sure if I can do much more than protecting the sheets and cells.
Let me know if that is any better.

Hi Andy , I thought your sheet for certs and other sources was just the thing I was needing, so printed one off. Your name is not appearing on the first A4 sheet , but all cells fit in nicely. Your name appeared half way down the second page all by itself!!
Anyone else like to try it? At the moment it defeats the purpose of giving you credit for all your hard work.

Glad you all like it.
Ian, hmmm I dont know how that happened. I have been unable to print anything as I have no ink left. I have checked the sheet and all the page margins and it seems to fit in ok.
What sheet in particular is it?
