I've taken a look at my great grandfather's record and there seems to be a mix up. The attestation papers refer to the correct person, Thomas Mitchell School Teacher from County Galway serving with the Connaught Rangers. Later it shows the medal card and discharge papers for a Thomas Mitchell a labourer from Belfast srving with the Royal Irish Rifles!!! Disappointing - can I get it corrected?
