Hi Anne, Frances and All,

My hands have been bothering me lately, so today I went to see the doctor. He thinks that I might have Carpel Tunnel Syndrome and put both my hands and wrists in braces or supports. I can key with them on but not as easily as before.

You are probably right, Anne. They must be sending me this book via Row Boat, not Express Row Boat either.

While I have like everyone else, have a very small chance of winning the book at the Tombola, I am sure that if I did, it would probably get lost in the mail or something. How is that for pessimism!

Hi Sheila,

Sorry to read that you're having trouble with a case of CTS, try using a pencil to hit the keyboard?

Now stop feeling sorry for yourself and pick yourself up and dust yourself off! What's up with this pessimistic attitude? Its so unlike you, but then again you're in shock over not receiving your book.

So repeat after me, "I will win the 4th prize in the Tombola" " I will win the 4th prize in the Tombola" again and again...

Hi Marilyn,

It is worthwhile to go on TS just to have a laugh. There is nothing like having a good laugh over something to get out of a funk.

Marilyn you never disapoint me in this. :D

Cheers [cheers]

Ah, that's better now. Yup, just remember a "giggle a day" keeps the doctor away.

Sheila - be sure to follow Marilyn's advice and get yourself a pencil. Make sure it has an eraser on the end, to absorb the shocks to your wrist from the faux-keying AND the traction of the eraser can also be used to turn pages WHEN you do get your book.

Hmmm, now I have a dilemma. Chapters.ca claims they finally have the book in stock, which means I could get it in just a few days. So do I buy it, or do I wait to see whether I win a _signed_ copy at the end of the month?
I would encourage both of you to purchase tickets, because we all KNOW, that the 'lost sock' theory will kick in. That's the one where you finally toss the odd socks out and the mate shows up immediately. The same thing's going to happen with this book. As soon as you buy the ticket ...

I already have my ticket, of course. :) I figure I can pretty much guarantee I'll win the book if I order it first  but that seems a bit redundant.

Hi All

I am breaking out the champagne. [woohoo]

I got the book in yesterday's mail, which was delivered sometime between 5:00Pm and 8:00 Pm. [many-greens] I can hardly believe that I have it. I first ordered it in January from WalMart, changed to Amazon.com and finally Alibris.

Thank you Marilyn and Frances on the tip of using a pencil. It takes a lot longer to type that way but in the end will probably be worth it. I never thought of turning the pages with an eraser, much better than licking a fingertip. :D

Cheers [cheers]

P.S. I have already bought tickets, will buy some more later

Congratulations Sheila! :D

[pour-drink]

That's great news and hopefully you'll be so engrossed reading the book that your pain will lessen for a wee bit.

...and mayble I'll be able to bring out the champaign myself in eight more days :)

[cheers]
