Wow, Nellie, that is a fantastic effort. You would just about have all of Tassie, wouldn't you haha.
Yes, we need to respect people wishing to keep there privacy, but do they realise how serious you are about the family history?
I had a sister of my partner, who just wasn't interested, and didn't want to give any information at all, until she visited us, and I showed her what I had on my own family, and then she realised what I really was doing, and now is all for it. So perhaps you need to make them realise what you have already done
And also, perhaps you don't need to enter that last couple of generations, as anyone in the family can find that out for themselves, and just see if you can upload the older generations, of people who have passed on, and so who are the real ones that are needed to be documented, so they aren't forgotten
If you are using a genealogy program on your computer, you should be able to upload the complete file, usually a GEDCOM (which I have) or the other one is PAF I think?
But when you are ready to do it, you will be able to ask for help from here for sure. And also, online sites that you can upload to shouldn't show any living persons in your file anyway. As they are protected in that way, but I believe you can upload your entire file, it is just you who will see it all, and anyone online looking at it will only see those that are deceased, if you see what I mean.
Happy hunting,
