Lothian Family History site-hacked

I am :evil: :evil: .Just logged onto the Lothian Family History site to find it has been hacked into.
The moron who did it has very proudly proclaimed that ABCXXX or whatever has "hacked" into the site.
Get a real job or a real interest & stop spoiling others hard work.
Just as well guns aren't legal in this country or I might be tempted.!
It is beyond my comprehension why people would use there skills in such a negative way.
I just can't imagine wasting my time spoiling others good efforts.

No respect for other peoples hard work and dedication - well they wouldn't know what those words meant, would they :twisted:

I hope the Lothians site folk can get it sorted out soon.

That hacker is obviously proud of his work. On his website he lists websites that he has hacked. His website appears to be in Turkish.

I've always been baffled by people who have obviously so much to offer , yet, only seem to want to destroy! What a way to get their kicks :shock: :roll:

Unfortunately, more than few hosting companies are only interested in the money, and really don't care what people put on their web pages!

If THEY were forced to take legal responsibility for what they host, there would be a lot less boasting numpties and, more importantly, a lot fewer "nasty" sites!

I found out about the hacking when I went on to let everyone know about Margaret McCue.
Contacted Frank the webmaster through his wife as I seem to have lost his address but not heard anything back yet.
This is the second time this has happened this year.
Its not like them not to reply so they may be away for a wee break and don't know.
The person responsible mustn't have anything better to do in his life. What these sort of people get out of it is beyond me!
