Hi:)

My mom says I went there. Are there yearbooks available that have school censuses, or any other lists or photos? Year range would be 1952-1956.

Hi Dennis,

The archive department at The Mitchell Library hold the school registers.

I know you can view them in the library but I don't know if you would be able to get a copy due to closure.

Where is the Oakbank School you mentioned? I know there is one in Perth called that but it is a new building now. If it was the Perth one then the Library in Perth might be able to help - tel 01738 477062, email

Oops - never thought of it being anywhere else but Glasgow as I know, from previous posts, Dennis was born there and left when he was young.

I have just looked on Friends Reunited and there are 4 Oakbank Primary Schools - 1 in Maryhill, 1 in Aberdeen, 1 in Perth and 1 in East Calder.
