Aberdeen City Archives Website Updated

Post by Archiver » Tue Mar 04, 2008 5:31 pm

Aberdeen City Archives are pleased to announce that they have been putting some of their guides and lists available to view and download online. These can be accessed through their website at www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/archives and selecting the 'catalogues' option from the menu on the right hand side.

These guides and lists will help open up their collections to the public, and increase awareness about the collections. They are going to be updating the page regularly with new additions, including more detailed versions to some of the lists already available.

Please feel free to contact them with any questions or comments you may have by emailing archivesATaberdeencity.gov.uk

Yaay! Things like the list of poor relief records are going to become more detailed in the next few months, as are the school records. It's a busy time ahead!

Brilliant! It's the poor relief I was wondering about... will be glad to see the holdings in more detail.
You've got your work cut out for you in the months (and years  ) to come...
Look forward to my next trip to Aberdeen :D
