special offer for Vikings

Post by nancy » Wed Mar 26, 2008 11:42 am

Just read in the local rag,you can have free admission to Legoland in Windsor,if you can prove beyond reasonable doubt,to have Viking blood running through your veins
Unfortunately I dont, :( so I suppose i'll just have to wait on an offer like that coming up from the Irish

Hi Nancy,
:!: :!: It's the "prove beyond reasonable doubt" that gets them off the hook, I would think! Let's see... :-k "In both the 841 and 851 censuses my 32nd great grandfather is clearly indicated as having been born in Denmark..."

Regards,
Sarah

Just dress up like this (especially the sharp bits). They’ll let you in. No worries.

Naw Nancy. It's the accent that's really scary!! Braveheart was one of the few films I've walked out of before the end because I thought it was so awful.

I tried to find out from the Legoland website how you are supposed to prove your Viking descent but I can't find any mention of it!
Speirs - Glasgow, Kilbarchan
McAuslan - Glasgow, Argyll
Fleming - Glasgow, Paisley
Henderson - Paisley
McQuarrie - Argyll
Wright - Govan, Tarbolton
Clark - Tarbolton
Lucas - Tarbolton

Hi all, my (Icelandic) ID card could be lent out I expect, one would just have to learn to pronounce my name and perhaps some judicious hair thinning and general uglyfisation.

Perhaps easier to pay - if one really needs to do Viking Legoland.....

Guid hunting,

Hi Thrall

That doesn't sound very Icelandic. Let folk borrow your ID card
Every Icelander I know has at least two jobs and they would set up a wee business 'hiring out' their card.
In the land of Ice and Fire it can be difficult to make ends meet.
