Try this Tracey...I haven't actually tried it, as yet...but the trial page does come up. Let me know if it works!

There was another link for Ancestry.com but when I tried that one it just kept coming up with my old account.

Thanks for the link Anne
I think this is the usual procedure "free two week trial" before you sign up as it wants your card details unlike the free trials that .com have had in the past...........ho hum

Ah, I thought it might be Tracey. If you go for it, don't forget to cancel before the two weeks are up

Judging by what i read i must be one of the few that actually puts the expiry date and thier phone number in my diary
But i shant be doing it, i will wait for the one that doesnt want your details.

Hello all,
I signed up for the 2wk trial, but what i do now is I put a reminder in my mobile (cell) phone to remind me to cancel it at least 2 days before the due date and that way i don't forget (as age is catching up with me) and i don't get billed.

I’m not sure if this has been posted before and it’s not the freebee we’re waiting for but there’s a list of free Ancestry databases of various descriptions here
http://www.searchforancestors.com/ancestryfreebies.html
See the most popular list and if you click on the “All the FREE Ancestry.com Databases” link and search the Ancestry Database Card Catalog for keywords e.g. FREE and SCOTLAND or FREE and ILLINOIS you’ll come up with something possibly free and useful.

If you want to stop your old account coming up when you access ancestry, delete your ancestry cookies - or when your id comes up "log off", and you can then access any special offers as a new person.
