Elizabeth Robertson's birth

I’ve hit another “brick-wall” and I’m hoping someone might be able to help me find the birth of Elizabeth Robertson (my great-grandmother).

The 1851, 61 and 71 census has her born in Sorn about 1848.

Elizabeth married Thomas Kirkwood in 1873 in Sorn (her age is listed as 24).

Elizabeth died in Lanark in 1932, age 84.

Hi Bob,

What were her parents' names? I am assuming that they were given on her marriage and death certificates.

Hi Andrew,

Sorry about that, parents are John Robertson and Margaret McCabe (I have seen it spelled "McGabe/MaKab". Both born in Ireland by the 1851/61 census. The parents were marriied in Sorn in 1847.

Hi Bob,

There are only two births to that couple shown on the online IGI.

JOHN ROBERTSON - Birth: 22 JUN 1857 Sorn, Ayrshire
MARION ROBERTSON - Birth: 03 APR 1861 Sorn, Ayrshire (a few days before the census)

Hi Andrew,
They had a total of five children, all born in Sorn.
Elizabeth abt. 1848
Mary abt 1852
Margaret in 1855
John 1857
Marion 1861

I have the last three's birth certificates from SP, but haven't been able to find Mary or Elizabeth in either the IGI or the OPR (I got their approx. births from the census).
